INTRODUCTION
Wheel alignment is a vital part of your vehicle’s maintenance and although it’s less common than a service or an MOT for your vehicle. It’s still a vitally important maintenance process, as wheel alignment affects both the handling and security of your vehicle.
In order to prolong the life of your tyres (and get as much use of them as possible before paying for replacements), ensuring your wheels are aligned is vital and more importantly, having the correct wheel alignment will prevent danger.
If your wheels are aligned incorrectly, it will increase the rolling resistance of your wheels, which leads to the engine needing to work harder, increased fuel consumption and the rapid wearing of your tyres.

CASTOR
A castor is used to provide straight-line stability and directional control.
Following a steering turn, your cars castor assists in the self-centreing of the steering the steering wheel.
A working castor provides activity and directional stability.
CAMBER
A camber is the angle or lean of the wheels as seen from looking at the front of your vehicle.
TOE-IN AND TOE-OUT
This term is the most understood and used in wheel alignment Wychbold. It simply means, how in-line or parallel your wheels are in relation to each other? For example are all the tyres pointing straight and are they inline with one another.
Naturally the straighter your tyres are, the better and safer it is, which is why wheel alignment is incredibly important.
